Job description

Work model: remote Presence required at the office: once a month in Wrocław Preferred candidate location: Wrocław and surrounding areas (or willingness to travel to the office once a month) Must-have Minimum 3 years of commercial experience in production environments. Very good knowledge of Apache Kafka (brokers, topics, producers, consumers, replication). Very good knowledge of Kafka Streams and kSQL. Experience with Kafka Connect (configuration and connector development). Very good knowledge of Java and Spring (Boot, Cloud, Security, Data). Experience with MongoDB (schema design, indexing, query optimization). Experience with GraphQL (schemas, resolvers, services). Basic knowledge of Apache Iceberg. Java and Python. Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry. Knowledge of TLS, SASL, ACL, and data encryption. Experience in Scrum or Kanban and knowledge of Jira and Confluence. Nice-to-have Quarkus / GraalVM. Avro / Protobuf / JSON Schema. Creating custom SMTs and converters. ELK / Vector / Dynatrace. DevOps / CI/CD experience. Experience in both cloud and on-premise environments. About the project Role in the Data Platform team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a modern event-driven platform. Main technologies include Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, kSQL, Spring Boot, MongoDB, GraphQL, and Apache Iceberg. The project involves backend development, data integration, automation, monitoring, and maintenance of production solutions. Collaboration with Data Engineers, DevOps engineers, and analysts in an Agile environment. Scope of responsibilities Designing and developing event-driven solutions. Developing solutions based on Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and kSQL. Defining and versioning data schemas. Creating microservices in Spring Boot. Implementing producers, consumers, and stream processing. Building GraphQL APIs utilizing MongoDB. Configuring and developing Kafka Connect connectors. Creating SMT transformations and converters. Automating the configuration of topics, connectors, and streams. Monitoring, observability, diagnostics, and optimization of the Kafka environment. Documenting solutions and sharing knowledge. Offer advantages Working on a modern event-driven platform. Apache Kafka as the key technology of the project. Broad technology stack: Kafka, Java/Spring, MongoDB, GraphQL, Apache Iceberg.
