Data Modeller Krakow - hybrid 6 days/month from the Krakow office Job Description As a Data Modeller, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data models that support the organization's data architecture and analytical initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, availability, and consistency, enabling informed business decisions across the organization. Your knowledge and experience will be crucial in creating and implementing data architecture strategies, ensuring data quality, integrity, security, and optimal performance. Scope of Responsibilities: * Designing and developing data models at conceptual, logical, and physical levels, supporting business requirements and operational and analytical needs. * Collaborating with stakeholders and business analysts to gather requirements and translate them into data modeling solutions that meet business needs. * Collaborating with data analysts and source system experts to obtain all necessary information about the data being modeled. * Close collaboration with data architects and data engineers to ensure that the designed structure and data transformation mappings enable the development team to deliver a data product of expected value and quality, ready for efficient use by users. * Participating in discussions regarding data design and architecture, ensuring compliance with current data design standards and principles. * Staying updated on new technologies, trends, and development directions in the data domain. * Supporting improvements in existing processes to increase quality and automation levels. Requirements: * Expertise in data modeling – a very good understanding of data modeling (for both operational and analytical systems), data analysis, and metadata. * Ability to acquire, document, and verify requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data models. * Data modeling techniques – experience in implementing approaches such as: Data Vault 2.0, Star Schema (dimensional modeling), and 3NF (Third Normal Form). * Working with data – experience in data profiling and targeted data analysis on relational databases and hierarchical files (JSON, XML). Ability to support and guide data analysts in this area. * Communication – very good communication skills, enabling effective presentation of complex data modeling issues to both technical and business audiences. Ability to influence stakeholders and obtain necessary approvals. * Data Governance – a very good understanding of data management principles and the ability to create and enforce Data Governance frameworks, data quality standards, and data protection mechanisms.
