Data Integration & API Engineer m/w/d - Bi & Data Automation

We work remote-first and offer you the opportunity to work flexibly across Germany, alternatively from our locations in Hamburg or Augsburg.

To expand our data connections, we are looking for you as Data Integration & API Engineer (m/w/d). You will be responsible for our interface landscape, develop existing integrations further, and ensure that new connections are structured and scalable integrated into our platform.

Aufgaben

• You maintain and develop existing data connections to customer systems (e.g. DATEV, SAP, LucaNet, Microsoft 365, Personio) continuously further.
• You optimize and stabilize existing ETL routes for file-based and API-based data imports.
• You take over new interfaces and lead them structured into our existing integration landscape.
• You work your way through external API documentation and test how new systems can be efficiently connected.
• You develop existing integrations from individual solutions to scalable, parameterizable standards further.
• You ensure that recurring structures (e.g. dimensions, mapping logics) are abstracted cleanly and reusable implemented.
• You maintain authentication processes (e.g. OAuth) and ensure a stable, secure data transfer.
• You automate existing data flows further and integrate them into our setup and deployment processes.
• You work with customers and internal teams as needed to understand and implement data structures cleanly.

Qualifikation

• You have 2–4 years of experience in the BI-, Data- or Integration field.
• You have a good understanding of data structures and can work with SQL safely.
• You have first-hand experience with APIs or a strong interest in delving deeper into API integrations.
• You can read JSON and understand basic REST concepts.
• You have ideally experience with Power BI or Power Automate.
• You understand data flows comprehensively – from source to target structure.
• You work structured and have a good sense for building solutions scalable and reusable.
• You approach analytically, recognize patterns, and develop existing solutions consistently further.
• You communicate clearly and can explain technical topics in an understandable way.
• You possess very good German language skills in writing and speaking.
