Data Governance Manager

We are looking for a Data Governance manager to drive data governance, quality, privacy, and compliance initiatives within a Wealth Management environment. This role will work closely with the DCIO, CDO, and Data Protection teams to ensure strong data controls, proper documentation, and alignment with regulatory requirements across the organization. Key Responsibilities Lead data governance initiatives including data quality, retention, and data privacy Act as the main point of contact for data governance inquiries Develop and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures Collaborate with business units to identify and address data-related risks and issues Establish and monitor data quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) Manage data lineage and metadata management processes Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) Provide training and education on data governance best practices and policies Coordinate data governance activities with IT, security, and legal teams Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data governance, privacy, and compliance Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration) Proven experience in data governance, data quality, or data management roles within the financial services industry Strong understanding of data governance principles, data privacy regulations, and compliance requirements Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with data governance tools and technologies (e.g., Collibra, Alation) Experience with Wealth Management is a plus Certifications in data governance or data privacy (e.g., CDGP, CIPP/E) are a plus
