Join a new, strategic data transformation project: we are moving analytics from on-premise to GCP, building a data architecture and model from scratch with a strong emphasis on increasing business value and improving our customers' CX. We work with technologies such as GCP, Spark, Python, Kubernetes, BigQuery, Vertex AI, Terraform, Looker. We integrate diverse, high-volume data sources, design processing layers in streaming and batch modes, implement data governance, lineage, quality, and security, as well as CI/CD and monitoring/SLO — all to shorten the path from question to answer and create a solid foundation for AI/LLM solutions. This is part of a broader data transformation program that redefines how T-Mobile works with data on a daily basis. We are creating an environment conducive to experimentation, rapid prototyping, and innovation, based on a culture of openness and collaboration. Working with the latest technologies, you have a real impact on the data strategy and the direction of our platform's development. Tasks that await you: Designing and implementing Data Governance processes and standards in the GCP environment Building and developing a data catalog and metadata management Defining metadata models, data catalog structures, and relationships between objects Implementing solutions ensuring data lineage, data quality, and data ownership Creating and enforcing access standards and policies (Access management) Collaborating with Data Engineering, BI teams, and data owners on governance and data quality Supporting business users in data search, understanding, and utilization Participating in defining and implementing Data Contracts and data exchange standards Documenting processes, standards, and data models. The following will help you in performing your tasks: 3-5 years of experience in Data Governance / Data Management / Data Quality Experience in data modeling and working with metadata Advanced SQL query knowledge supported by practical professional experience - query optimization, creating aggregations, and managing indexes Knowledge of topics such as: data lineage, data quality, data stewardship, data ownership Experience in technical documentation and code review Teamwork and communication skills with business, technical, and analytical teams. Proactivity, responsibility, and a focus on data quality.
