Data Engineer/Senior Engineer

About the Team: You will be part of Sea’s HQ Finance department, which plays an integral role in supporting the accounting and finance needs of our three core businesses (Garena, Shopee, Monee) and across our diverse regional market presence. Within the department, the Group Data function builds and maintains scalable data infrastructure through data ingestion, transformation, and warehousing via robust ETL pipelines, while also developing web-based tools that enable efficient access and interaction with data. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business insights and decision-making. Key responsibilities include: • Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure using ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and data visualization tools. • Developing web-based tools that enable efficient access and interaction with data. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business insights and decision-making. • Providing technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders on data-related matters. • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of data engineering. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. • At least 3 years of experience in data engineering or a related field. • Strong understanding of ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and data visualization tools. • Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases. • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks. • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
