Data Engineer with German - Finance & Controlling (B2B) @ dmTECH

Required experience and qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering or data analytics
• Knowledge of languages: Polish (C1), German (C1), and English (minimum B1)
• Education in computer science or related fields
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including Cortex AI (Snowpark, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search), in real business applications
• Experience working with cloud and data processes - AWS is a plus
• Very good knowledge of SQL
• Programming skills in Python and knowledge of Git
• Experience in data modeling and data warehousing
• Knowledge of ML, MLOps, and/or genAI concepts
• Strong communication skills, independence in action, and proactivity in seeking solutions
• Interest in connecting technology with the areas of finance and controlling

Additional advantages will be:

• Experience working with data from ERP systems (SAP)
• Knowledge of Data Mesh concepts

Project:

Our team is modernizing system and data architectures by building and maintaining a modular data concept in Snowflake, with an implemented semantic layer and active use of Snowflake Cortex AI in production pipelines. The integration of data from multiple sources (AWS, GCP, SAP) within our created platform sets the strategic technological direction for working with data in the finance and controlling area for the entire dm Group.

Tech Stack: SQL, Python, Snowflake (Cortex AI: Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, Snowpark), AWS, DBT

Place of service provision: hybrid (Wrocław) or 100% remote cooperation

Form of cooperation: B2B Contract

Remuneration:

100-180 PLN/h + VAT on B2B

What will our cooperation involve?

• Building and developing the data semantic layer on Snowflake (Semantic Layer)
• Integrating Snowflake Cortex AI with financial data pipelines, creating intelligent assistants for data analysis
• Designing, implementing, and operating scalable ETL and ELT processes for analytical and ML applications, especially in the AWS environment, integrating data from various sources with the Snowflake environment
• Designing and developing pipelines using the semantic layer as an abstraction over data for LLM models (DBT)
• Creating and documenting flexible data models and actively participating in data architecture design, ensuring its long-term stability
• Responsibility for the further development and maintenance of the data management platform in Snowflake
• Managing and automating the entire code creation and deployment process, using Git and CI/CD
• Conducting data quality checks
• Managing incidents and resolving problems in the second line of support
• Providing technological consulting in cooperation with Data Science specialists, analysts, and the finance and controlling department
