What will you do?

As a Data Engineer at PuurData, you are more than a technician. You are a consultant who helps clients get more value out of their data. PuurData works with platforms such as Elastic and AWS, and serves clients in the areas of search technology, observability, security, and AI. You are the one who brings these solutions to life.

You start at the client. You inventory the question: what do they want to do with their data? Is it about better search functionality, real-time insight into systems, or security and threat detection? Clients often know that something is wrong. Data is slow, there is no insight, or there are performance problems. But they don't always know how to solve it. You help clarify that.

Then, together with the client, you arrive at the right solution. You translate the need into a concrete approach and implement it from A to Z: from setting up the data flow to delivering dashboards and insights.

No day is the same. The use cases range from search solutions and business process monitoring to SIEM implementations and data engineering pipelines. This gives you a lot of freedom in how you shape your work.

Continuous learning is not an option, but the norm
Technology does not stand still, and neither do you. At PuurData, training is mandatory. You stay up-to-date with the latest developments, such as Elastic, AI integrations, and new data platforms, and apply that knowledge directly in client projects.

Who are you?

You are an entrepreneurial professional who needs little direction. You think from the end-user's perspective and strive for maximum customer satisfaction without losing sight of quality and security. Thanks to your analytical ability, you quickly see the core of a problem and come up with creative, structural solutions. You can clearly justify technical choices and guide clients through them, even when it is complex. You can be a bit opinionated in that.

Personal skills:

• Strong analytical skills, you quickly see connections in data and data structures

• Eager to learn and driven to continuously develop yourself

• Independent but collaborative, you push forward without needing anyone to guide you

• Good communication skills, you translate technical choices into understandable language for clients

• Problem-solving skills, you look for structural solutions instead of temporary fixes

Professional skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree level of working and thinking in a technical or data-related field

• 1 to 3 years of work experience in data engineering or a comparable consultancy role

• Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data pipelines

Bonus points:

• Affinity with or knowledge of Elastic, SQL, or similar data platforms

• Experience with data orchestration, data lakes, or dashboarding tools

• Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS or Azure

• Understands how data architecture contributes to AI applications and process automation
