Data Engineer Junior - Focus on Data Pipelines (m/f/d)

Instead of just writing code, do you want to see how your work makes an impact? Together with five analytics and data experts, you will develop modern data solutions in Bonn for a holistic 360° customer profile, enabling data-driven decisions that contribute to greater inclusion and social participation.

• You will work on modern data products that support reporting, analysis, and data-driven decisions at Aktion Mensch.
• You will support the provision of curated data for analysis, reporting, and other data-driven use cases.
• You will develop and maintain data pipelines and data processing routines to provide high-quality data.
• You will participate in conducting data quality checks and in the analysis and resolution of data errors.
• You will document data flows, interfaces, and technical interrelationships in a clear and understandable manner.
• You will work closely with analysts, data scientists, architecture, development, and business unit teams.
• You will support the implementation of standards for data quality, governance, and data reusability.

• You have gained initial practical experience in Data Engineering, for example through professional experience, studies, working student positions, or personal projects.
• You have good SQL skills and initial experience with Python for data processing and analysis.
• You are interested in data modeling and modern data platforms and ideally have already had initial practical contact with them.
• You have initial experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, or comparable data integration tasks.
• Initial knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, or comparable cloud and data platforms is desirable.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems is an advantage.
• You work in a structured, careful, and solution-oriented manner.
• You enjoy analyzing technical issues and developing solutions together as a team.
• Clear documentation of your work results is a matter of course for you.
• You enjoy working with different business units and technical teams and communicate openly and reliably.
• You are interested in continuously developing yourself in the areas of Data Engineering, Analytics, and modern data platforms.
• Successfully completed studies in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Business Informatics, or a comparable field.
