Job description
As a Data Engineer you will:
- Work in an agile startup-oriented environment and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions, ensuring smooth transition from development to production.
- Contribute to up-to-date documentation and proactive prevention of technical debt.
- Participate in continuous delivery pipelines (Jenkins, ArgoCD, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Build and support data ingestion, storage, processing, and security solutions at scale.
- Handle operations-related activities such as debugging, log analysis, and system monitoring.
- Work with open-source technologies including Kafka, Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Impala), Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and related tools.
- 8–10 years of professional experience in software development and data engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python and unit testing in Python.
- Proven experience with data migration and large-scale data engineering practices.
- Solid understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Demonstrable experience working with open-source technologies (Kafka, Hadoop ecosystem, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins).
- Work autonomously while being open to learning and guidance when needed.
- Debug complex issues, analyze logs, and support operations in production environments.
- Ensure software solutions are robust, scalable, and secure.
- Collaborate effectively within an agile team setup and deliver high-quality results.
