Data Engineer M/F

Capco France is looking for Data Engineers to support major financial services players in the design and implementation of modern, robust, and scalable data platforms and solutions.

Within our Data & Analytics Practice, you will work on high-impact transformation projects, from the design of data architectures and pipelines to their production and optimization.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and making data available from multiple sources.
• Participate in the design and evolution of modern data architectures, particularly in Cloud environments, taking into account performance, security, and scalability challenges.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and observability through testing, monitoring, documentation, and automation practices.
• Collaborate with Data, Cloud, Architecture, and Business teams to transform functional needs into performant and maintainable technical solutions.
• Responsibly use approved AI and automation tools to accelerate development, testing, documentation, or incident analysis, with human review and adherence to security and governance standards.

What we are looking for

• Significant experience in Data Engineering, minimum 5 years, with a strong command of Python and SQL and experience in designing data pipelines.
• Experience with modern data technologies and architectures, as well as at least one Cloud environment such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• A good understanding of data modeling, transformation, quality, and governance issues.
• The ability to collaborate with technical and business profiles, solve complex problems, and clearly communicate technical choices.
• Curiosity about the uses of AI and AI-enabled workflows applied to Data Engineering, with attention to security, quality, traceability, and human validation.
• Ability to work in complex, regulated, and international environments, with excellent communication skills in French and English.

Additional Assets

• Experience with technologies such as Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka, or dbt.
• Practice of DataOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code principles or automation approaches applied to data platforms.
• Experience in banking, capital markets, insurance, or more broadly financial services.
• Knowledge of security, governance, lineage, and data protection issues in regulated environments.
• Hands-on experience using Generative AI or Agentic AI to improve engineering workflows, with appropriate review, control, and traceability mechanisms.
