The Opportunity

To support our growth, we are seeking a Data Engineer Databricks (Azure) who wishes to contribute to strategic projects with our Quebec clients.

You will be involved in various mandates including:

· Cloud Modernization;

· Design of Data Lake and Lakehouse platforms;

· Advanced analytics and artificial intelligence-related projects;

· Data Governance and Quality.

Our consultants work with organizations that already have several years of Cloud maturity, possess large-scale data platforms, and invest in strategic initiatives driven by their Data departments.

The core of the role involves designing and developing data processing solutions on Databricks, leveraging the services of the Azure ecosystem.

Your Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and optimize data processing solutions on Databricks;

· Develop robust and scalable data pipelines using PySpark;

· Participate in the design and evolution of Databricks-based Lakehouse architectures;

· Integrate, transform, and leverage data from multiple sources;

· Utilize Azure ecosystem services (ADF, ADLS, Fabric, etc.) to support solutions developed on Databricks;

· Collaborate with architects, analysts, and clients in defining solutions;

· Contribute to the automation, testing, and deployment of solutions;

· Optimize the performance, costs, and reliability of processing;

· Participate in the production deployment and continuous improvement of data platforms.

Profile Sought

Experience

· Minimum of 4 years of experience in data engineering;

· Significant experience with Databricks in a professional context;

· Solid proficiency in PySpark;

· Experience with Azure services related to data engineering.

Key Skills

· Databricks;

· PySpark;

· Delta Lake;

· SQL.

Azure Environment

· Azure Data Factory (ADF) and/or Microsoft Fabric;

· Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS);

· Git and CI/CD.

Assets

· Snowflake;

· Terraform;

· Azure DevOps;

· Azure or Databricks certifications.

Languages

• Fluent French;
• English proficiency allowing effective interaction with clients, partners, and colleagues in a bilingual environment.

Soft Skills
