Data Engineer - Data Platforms - Azure

Introduction In this role, you will join high-performing delivery teams focused on building modern, scalable, and secure data platforms on Microsoft Azure. You will help organizations transform their data landscape, enabling advanced analytics, business intelligence, and cloud-native data engineering practices. You will work with experts across industries to design efficient data integration solutions, support cloud migrations, and implement best practices for data quality, governance, and performance. Your Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using various Azure services. * Implement data ingestion, processing, and storage solutions. * Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers. * Ensure data quality, security, and compliance. * Automate data platform operations and monitoring. * Optimize data platform performance and scalability. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. * Participate in code reviews and contribute to documentation. Required Skills and Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * 5+ years of experience in data engineering. * Strong experience with Microsoft Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks). * Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Scala. * Experience with data warehousing and data lake concepts. * Solid understanding of data modeling and database design. * Experience with ETL/ELT processes. * Experience with data governance and data quality principles. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Experience with Agile methodologies. Preferred Skills and Qualifications * Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate). * Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop). * Experience with DevOps practices. * Experience with CI/CD pipelines. * Experience with cloud-native data engineering practices. * Experience with streaming data technologies (e.g., Kafka, Event Hub). * Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
