DECATHLON's Core Data Product team is looking for its future Data Engineers based in Lille/Paris.
At the heart of the Decathlon Digital entity, we are looking for our future Data Engineers to join the Core Data Products teams.

Within our Data Platform, you will work on the foundation that fuels all of Decathlon's strategic decisions and AI models. Our mission? To build the transversal Single Source of Truth to transform raw data into ready-to-use data products (Gold layer), reliable and standardized. From product design to supply chain, eco-design, and customer experience, our Core Data Products enable each business team to operate with agility while driving circular, profitable, and responsible business models.

🔍 USER & CUSTOMER INTERACTIONS Team
Enable every Decathlon employee to understand user and customer interactions with Decathlon, its services, and its products, in order to generate the necessary insights for management and decision-making.
YOUR FUTURE CONTRIBUTION
Your responsibilities will include ():
Architecture & Technical Strategy
- Contribute to the development of our technical stack strategy and ensure CI/CD.
- Maintain and rethink existing datasets and pipelines to serve a wider variety of use cases.
- Design, develop, and industrialize complex data models to enable the analysis of usage, quality, and maturity of our data assets.
Expertise & Support
- Understanding Functional Needs: Proactivity in analyzing needs and understanding the daily lives of the users we support and their stakeholders.
- Support and Guidance: Act as an expert to guide data teams in the correct and effective use of our products.
- Actively contribute to our data engineering community.
Engineering Culture & Excellence
- Promotion of Best Practices: Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our working methods (mob programming, TDD, robust documentation...) to raise the team's technical standards.
- Operational Excellence: Implement monitoring and automation solutions to significantly reduce manual workload and improve overall team efficiency.

WHAT YOU BRING
- Technical Mastery: Proven expertise in SQL and Python (PySpark) to manipulate and optimize massive data volumes.
- Cloud Architecture: Solid experience with Databricks, EMR, and Airflow. You know how to choose the right tools for the right patterns.
- Data Culture: A deep understanding of modeling (Kimball, OBT) and critical concepts (Lineage, Governance, Data Contracts).
- Collaborative Leadership: You are accustomed to agile environments (Pair/Mob programming, Code Reviews) and know how to document your work to make it sustainable.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to unite around your solutions. Your English is fluent for working in our international context.
