Who we are
Heringer Consulting is a privately owned consulting firm with over 100 employees at four locations: Cologne, Berlin, Leipzig, and Hamburg. We help companies make data usable: from data architecture to analytics and AI solutions. Our projects run on the Microsoft Azure platform, using technologies like Fabric, Databricks, and Power BI. Our clients range from medium-sized businesses to enterprises and are active in various industries.
We are currently looking for new trainees for our Cologne and Leipzig offices, starting on November 1, 2026, who want to make the leap into the exciting world of management consulting.
Responsibilities
Your start
As our trainee, you will first become part of the Heringer Academy and build your technical foundation with practical, real-world project relevance.
You will learn: Data Warehousing, SQL, and Cloud Architectures, projects in the Azure environment, and certified Microsoft training. Experienced colleagues will accompany you as mentors and support your development.
Once you have built up the necessary skills in the Academy, you will be deployed in client projects and take on responsibility there.
Qualifications
What you bring
Completed degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable quantitative field.
First programming experience in Python, SQL, R, or Scala. Very good German (at least C1) and good English (at least B2).
You enjoy working with people, presenting results, and explaining complex issues clearly and understandably. Occasional travel to clients in Germany is part of the job.

You start with a trainee salary. As soon as you actively work on projects, there will be a clear salary increase. Transparent and without any fine print.
