Data Catalog Developer (Collibra)_5yrs

We are looking for an experienced Data Catalog Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Collibra Data Catalog to support enterprise data governance and metadata management initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining Collibra-based data catalog solutions to improve data discovery, lineage, ownership, and governance across the organization.

• Implement and configure Collibra Data Catalog to enable enterprise-wide data discovery and metadata management.

• Develop and manage technical, business, and operational metadata within Collibra.

• Configure domains, communities, asset types, attributes, relations, and workflows in Collibra.

• Enable and maintain end-to-end data lineage across source, transformation, and consumption layers.

• Integrate Collibra Data Catalog with upstream and downstream systems (databases, data warehouses, BI tools).

• Support metadata ingestion using Collibra connectors, APIs, and automated ingestion jobs.

• Work closely with data owners, data stewards, and business stakeholders to define catalog standards and governance processes.

• Ensure metadata accuracy, completeness, and consistency across the data landscape.

• Support Collibra operating model, stewardship workflows, and governance use cases.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to metadata ingestion, lineage, and catalog usability.

• Create and maintain documentation for catalog configurations, workflows, and operational processes.

• 5–8 years of overall experience in data governance, metadata management, or data catalog implementation.

• Strong hands-on experience with Collibra Data Catalog.

• Practical experience in configuring Collibra operating model, domains, communities, asset types, and workflows.

• Experience working with metadata ingestion, lineage, and governance workflows.

• Solid understanding of data governance concepts and best practices.

• Strong SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases.

• Experience using Collibra APIs for metadata integration and automation.

• Ability to translate business and governance requirements into Collibra configurations.

• Experience integrating Collibra with data warehouses, data lakes, BI tools, and cloud platforms.

• Exposure to Collibra Data Quality (DQ) integration is a plus.

• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum delivery models.

• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

• Experience in large-scale enterprise data environments.

• A hands-on Collibra practitioner, not theory-only.

• Someone who has implemented Collibra Catalog end-to-end, not just user-level exposure.

• Strong collaboration skills with governance, business, and technical teams.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-urgency engagement.
