Data & BI Engineer (w/m/d)
Job description
We are looking for an experienced developer... Our client is a central IT and digitalization service provider within a larger corporate group with its headquarters in Düsseldorf, which sets up a modern, Microsoft-based BI and data landscape – we are seeking a Data & BI Engineer (w/m/d). You will take on a central role in the further development of the Data-Warehouse-Architecture and shape actively how data will be used in the company in the future. Aufgaben
- Existing BI processes and solutions you take critically under the microscope, identify weaknesses and potential for improvement and develop corresponding solution concepts that you implement yourself
- You bring order to heterogeneous data sources, merge them and ensure – in close exchange with the BI team and departments – a clean data preparation using Microsoft SQL Server BI tools
- You actively work on setting up our Data Warehouse and analysis models: You transfer relational data into the DWH and continuously develop the underlying data structures and models
- If you encounter professional inconsistencies in the BI models, you address them, equalize them and ensure a consistent data basis
Qualifikation
- You bring a completed (business-)informatics degree or equivalent qualification
- In the area of ETL/SSIS as well as in the development of databases with T-SQL you can look back on several years of experience
- Terms like Kimball, Star Schema, OLAP or Tabular are familiar to you from your previous work with data and analysis models
- First contacts with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI or Python/PySpark round off your profile ideally, but are not a must
- You are self-responsible, analytical and structured in your work
- You are open to new technologies and want to continuously develop yourself professionally
- Your German language skills are at least on the C1 level
