Job description

We are looking for an experienced developer... Our client is a central IT and digitalization service provider within a larger corporate group with its headquarters in Düsseldorf, which sets up a modern, Microsoft-based BI and data landscape – we are seeking a Data & BI Engineer (w/m/d). You will take on a central role in the further development of the Data-Warehouse-Architecture and shape actively how data will be used in the company in the future. If you like to work in a structured environment with short decision-making paths and a lot of personal responsibility, we look forward to your application.

Aufgaben

  • You bring order to heterogeneous data sources, merge them and ensure – in close exchange with the BI team and departments – a clean data preparation using Microsoft SQL Server BI tools
  • You actively work on setting up our Data Warehouse and analysis models: You transfer relational data into the DWH and continuously develop the underlying data structures and models
  • If you encounter professional inconsistencies in the BI models, you address them, equalize them and ensure a consistent data basis

Qualifikation

  • You bring a completed (business-)informatics degree or equivalent qualification
  • In the area of ETL/SSIS as well as in the development of databases with T-SQL you can look back on several years of experience
  • Terms like Kimball, Star Schema, OLAP or Tabular are familiar to you from your previous work with data and analysis models
  • First contacts with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI or Python/PySpark round off your profile ideally, but are not a must
  • You are self-responsible, analytical and structured in your work
  • You are open to new technologies and want to continuously develop yourself professionally
  • Your German language skills are at least on the C1 level

Benefits

  • Health Management: Subsidy for a sports club membership, preventive health check-ups and occupational medical service

  • Communication at Eye Level: Continuous, interactive exchange with management and board members in flat hierarchies
  • In-House Academy: Comprehensive onboarding and various training and further education offers, including talent development and diversity programs
  • Family Service: Counseling services for flexible childcare as well as care for relatives
  • Team Events: Celebrating together at summer festivals, Christmas parties or carnival
  • All-Round-Care Package: 30 days of vacation plus additional special leave days, modern technical equipment, free parking options, bike leasing and corporate benefits
  • Attractive Remuneration & Working Hours: Fixed salary with performance-oriented remuneration and employee share program as well as flexible working hours and the possibility to work remotely for a balanced Work-Life-Balance
