Job description

Impact investing is a rapidly growing sector. INCO Ventures, a key player in this field in France, manages and advises six investment funds dedicated to financing companies with a strong social and/or environmental impact. It primarily invests in companies undergoing scaling and/or development (investment tickets between €300k and €2M).

Why we are recruiting

We are a management company specialized in impact investing. We support companies that contribute to major environmental and social transitions, while seeking attractive financial performance for our investors.

Over the years, we have built our tools and processes around Airtable, various SaaS solutions, and occasional uses of artificial intelligence. This organization has allowed us to grow rapidly.

Today, we wish to take a new step.

Our ambition is to build a true data and AI platform serving our entire ecosystem:

  • The management team

  • The middle office and compliance teams

  • Our investors (LPs)

  • The companies in our portfolio

Specifically, we want to evolve our data architecture, further automate our processes, deploy high-value AI uses, and create digital spaces allowing everyone to easily access the information they need.

To support us in this transformation, we are recruiting an intern who will work directly with the Compliance & Middle Office Manager and an Investment Director.

This internship is as much a construction project as it is an innovation project: we are looking for someone who can understand business challenges, propose solutions, and contribute to their implementation.

What you will concretely build

During your internship, you will contribute to:

  • Structuring and evolving several years of investment, impact, and ESG data

  • Participating in the migration of our data foundation to a modern and scalable architecture

  • Deploying automations to reduce manual tasks and improve data quality

  • Designing the company's first internal AI assistants

  • Creating tools used daily by the investment, middle office, and compliance teams

  • Participating in the creation of dedicated portals for investors and portfolio companies

  • Contributing to defining our data & AI roadmap for the coming years

Your missions

The projects will be carried out in direct collaboration with the investment, impact, middle office, and compliance teams. You will work in a very transversal environment, with significant autonomy and the possibility to contribute to both the reflection and the implementation of solutions.

The missions described below constitute an initial roadmap. They will naturally evolve based on the project's progress, your interests, and opportunities identified together.

  1. Understanding and structuring our data ecosystem

You will notably participate in:

  • Mapping existing Airtable bases and their uses

  • Understanding data flows between different teams

  • Identifying redundancies, friction points, and improvement opportunities

  • Participating in the design of the target data model

  • Contributing, if applicable, to the gradual migration to Supabase

  • Structuring financial, impact, and ESG data

  • Defining data access and governance rules

  • Documenting models, processes, and best practices

The objective is to build a reliable, shared, and sustainable data foundation.

2. Automating key processes

Once the data is structured, you will contribute to automating repetitive tasks and streamlining operations.

Examples:

  • Data collection from portfolio companies, automated follow-ups

  • Consolidation of reports

  • Consistency checks

  • Document management

  • Preparation of certain regulatory deliverables

  • Qualification and automatic enrichment of investment opportunities

  • Information flow between tools

You will participate in the design and deployment of no-code and low-code workflows, primarily via N8N and the APIs of the various tools used by the company.

3. Deploying concrete AI uses

We are looking for someone who can identify where AI can truly create value.

You will be able to work on, among other things:

  • Internal assistants connected to our databases

  • Document search and knowledge management tools

  • Automatic information extraction from reports, questionnaires, or due diligence documents

  • Pre-analysis of investment files

  • Assisted generation of reports, investment memos, and minutes

  • Workflows combining automation and AI

  • Exploration of new use cases related to investment, impact, or compliance

You will be encouraged to experiment, compare available market solutions, and propose your own ideas.

4. Building user interfaces and portals

As the foundations are put in place, you will participate in creating interfaces that allow different users to easily access information. This may include:

Management team portal

  • Portfolio monitoring

  • Portfolio reporting

  • Internal steering tools

Investor (LPs) portal

  • Consultation of reports

  • Portfolio indicator tracking

  • Secure distribution of regulatory information

Portfolio companies portal

  • Data collection

  • Tracking of financial and extra-financial indicators

  • Document sharing

5. Supporting the adoption of new tools

The success of the project depends not only on technology. You will also contribute to:

  • Understanding user needs

  • Identifying new use cases

  • Training teams on deployed tools

  • Producing simple and useful documentation

  • Disseminating best practices related to data and AI

  • Actively monitoring new tools and market trends

Why this internship is different

You will not join an isolated technical team but will work directly with the business teams:

  • Our Compliance & Middle Office Manager

  • Our Chief Impact Officer

  • Our Investment Directors

You will be exposed to strategic, operational, and technological issues.

You will participate in the transformation of an investment management company from within, with significant autonomy and visible impact from the first weeks.

The tools and processes you help build will be used daily by the teams, investors, and companies we support.

This is a rare opportunity to develop expertise at the intersection of investment, data, automation, and artificial intelligence.

Application

Send us your CV along with a few lines explaining:

  • What attracts you to this project

  • A tool, an automation, or an AI use case you have already implemented (or would like to explore)

No formal cover letter is needed.

We favor curious, pragmatic, and motivated individuals who want to build.

We are looking for someone who is primarily curious, autonomous, and solutions-oriented.

You might be the right person if:

  • You are in an engineering school, business school, university, or equivalent

  • You have a strong appetite for data, automation, and AI

  • You enjoy experimenting with new tools

  • You are capable of transforming a business problem into a concrete solution

  • You know how to move forward autonomously while working in a team

Skills or experience in the following areas will be appreciated:

  • SQL and relational databases

  • Airtable, Notion, N8N, Make, or similar tools

  • APIs and integrations

  • Generative AI and prompting

However, we place as much importance on curiosity, learning ability, and initiative as on technical skills.
