Ihre Aufgaben

• Analysis of the current state, definition of target architectures (Business-, Data- and Technology-layers) and derivation of a long-term roadmap for data management and usage

• Conceptualization, implementation, and rollout of governance models, role and responsibility matrices, guidelines, processes, and KPIs to ensure data quality, security, and compliance

• Identification and documentation of data and metadata standards (Naming-Conventions, Data Models, Interfaces, Quality Metrics) and their dissemination and training within the company

• Selection and integration of technologies (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Streaming, Master-Data-Management, Data-Catalog, Cloud-Services) and building scalable, fault-tolerant, and performance-configured platforms

• Support for project teams in implementing data science, reporting, and integration projects, ensuring alignment with governance guidelines and conducting architecture reviews

• Definition of roles, responsibilities, and training programs, coaching of departments and IT teams, and promoting a data-driven culture

• Coordination of Data Architecture with IT Service Management (ITSM), Project-Portfolio-Management (PPM) and Demand Management to ensure consistent processes and unified data services

Must-Anforderungen

• Minimum 8 years of experience in building and steering Data Architecture programs in medium-sized to large companies

• Notable successes in developing and implementing company-wide data strategies, with measurable improvements in data quality and availability

• Practical experience in introducing Data Governance frameworks and defining roles and implementing governance processes

• In-depth technical knowledge of the architecture of Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Master-Data-Management solutions (e.g. Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, Kafka, Delta Lake)

• Expertise in integrating modern data platforms in hybrid cloud environments

• Experience in developing data and metadata standards, naming conventions, and data quality rules, as well as logical and physical data modeling

• Fundament knowledge of TOGAF (ADM Phases) and DAMA-DMBOK, and their application to Data Architecture

• Expertise in regulatory requirements such as DSGVO/GDPR, CCPA, and ISO 27001 relevance for data

• Experience with data management tools like Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Talend, dbt, Apache Airflow, Power BI or Tableau

• Experience in designing APIs, event-driven architectures, ETL/ELT pipelines, and Data-Ops methods

• Ability to accompany data and BI projects, as well as conducting technical architecture reviews for standardization

• Excellent skills in change and stakeholder management, coaching of departments and IT teams, and promoting a data-driven culture

• Ability to analyze data-based business challenges and develop solution concepts with quantifiable business benefits

• Very good German and English language skills in writing and speaking
