Job description

We are looking for a Data Architect to serve as the primary architect of our data ecosystem. This is not a traditional "modeling-first" role; instead, you will be responsible for building the structural integrity, governance, and pipeline architecture required to transform raw commodity and trading data into a reliable strategic asset. You will lay the groundwork that enables all future analytics, risk reporting, and automation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Data Architecture & Strategy: Develops and maintains the overall data architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology capabilities. Collaborates with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data requirements, defines data standards, and develops data governance policies. Ensures data quality, integrity, and security across all systems and applications. Data Engineering: Designs, builds, and maintains large-scale data pipelines, integrating multiple data sources, processing, and storage solutions. Develops and implements data processing workflows, including data transformation, aggregation, and enrichment. Works closely with data scientists to develop and deploy machine learning models, ensuring seamless integration with the broader analytics ecosystem. Data Governance & Compliance: Develops and enforces data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Collaborates with stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential risks related to data quality, security, and integrity. Data Visualization & Reporting: Designs and develops interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate complex data insights to business stakeholders. Develops and maintains data catalogs, metadata management systems, and other tools to support data discovery, exploration, and analysis. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; 5+ years of experience in a similar role; Strong understanding of data architecture, data governance, and data engineering principles; Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure); Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark); Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI); Certification in data science or related field is a plus.
