Data Analyst:in Fundraising (m/f/d)

Full Time Mid Level

Job description

The Albert Schweitzer Foundation for Our Fellow Creatures is looking for

a Data Analyst:in Fundraising (m/f/d)

as soon as possible in Berlin (high proportion of home office possible) with 35 hours per week (full-time) as a permanent position.

Our vision is a world in which no animal has to suffer anymore for the production of food. Our mission is: Together to increase animal welfare standards and reduce the consumption of animal products. With our work, we have an impact in the areas of economy, law, and politics. At all levels, we take practical steps with the respective stakeholders towards a respectful treatment of animals and also make it easier for perceived opponents to abandon their previous patterns of behavior.

As a Data Analyst:in Fundraising, you will be part of our six-person Fundraising & Engagement team. The Fundraising & Engagement department connects dedicated people with our mission - as donors or volunteers. With creative actions, it secures the financing of our work.

This is what you will achieve with us

You will develop and maintain a scalable performance monitoring system for the Fundraising and Engagement department. Furthermore, you will optimize fundraising and mobilization measures and ensure data quality and data integrity.

This way, you will ensure that fundraising and engagement measures can be planned, segmented, evaluated, and optimized on a data-driven basis. With KPI reports, tests, and analyses, you will provide reliable decision-making bases for the further development of fundraising, mobilization, and supporter journeys.

Specifically, this means

  • You will segment and prepare data for fundraising and engagement measures.

  • You will develop, maintain, and document SQL queries and recurring evaluation logics.

  • You will evaluate fundraising, engagement, and mobilization measures along agreed-upon KPIs.

  • You will create monthly reports and dashboards with the most important control figures.

  • You will prepare, evaluate, and derive learnings from A/B and multivariate tests.

  • You will analyze supporter journeys, target groups, and segments as a basis for optimization.

  • You will create ad-hoc evaluations and recommendations for action for strategic decisions.

Your Profile

  • Ideally, you have a university degree or vocational training in fundraising, business administration, controlling, (business) informatics, statistics, or data science. However, we are also open to career changers with corresponding proven qualifications and references.

  • You have at least three years of experience in digital fundraising for a non-profit organization.

  • You are proficient in using qualitative and quantitative data analysis tools, including tracking and analysis tools.

  • You are proficient in using SQL databases and CRM systems.

  • You have experience with A/B and multivariate testing.

  • You have initial experience with project management tools such as Asana, monday.com, Jira, or comparable applications and use them to clearly organize tasks, coordination, and project progress. (we work with Asana)

  • You work in a structured and independent manner with a high level of problem-solving competence.

  • Even when things get stressful, for example, when a deadline is approaching, you remain calm.

  • You react flexibly to unforeseen events and look for suitable alternatives.

  • You enjoy working with others - even if not everyone is in the same location.

  • You have initial experience in using AI tools reflectively in your daily work and know that good results require clear task definitions, sufficient context, and careful review.

  • You identify with our vision, mission, and culture.

What we offer you

  • A permanent full-time position on a 35-hour basis: As part of the Fundraising & Engagement team, you will directly contribute to social change and improve animal welfare.

  • Home office opportunities: You live in Berlin or the surrounding area and work with flexible, family-friendly working hours in a hybrid model (home office & office).

  • Professional team: Collegial, open exchange in a motivated team.

  • Dog-friendly offices including “dog-free” areas for allergy sufferers and ergonomic workstations.

  • Attractive remuneration: Permanent, annual salary between €45,996.00 and €52,895.40 (experience-based) + bonus payments.

  • Benefits: Cafeteria model (financial advantages, Deutschlandticket, or additional vacation days), subsidies for health services (e.g., B12 + D blood tests) and company pension scheme.

  • Further education: Active support for training and further education.
