Job description
About Us:
HyPlus is your companion in digital transformation. Together with our clients, we develop their digital DNA in a structured, partnership-based manner with a clear focus on sustainable added value. We support companies from requirements analysis through architecture, software development, and implementation to operation. With around 800 colleagues in Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Romania, and India, we combine technological excellence with industry expertise in Automotive, Retail, Banking & Insurance, and the Public Sector.
We welcome applicants who are already engaged with modern AI-powered development tools and generative AI, or who are interested in integrating them meaningfully into their daily work. We see the reflected use of AI as a valuable addition to technical know-how and independent thinking.
As a Data Analyst, you will independently answer business questions using you will analyze, model within existing structures, build dashboards, and present your findings concisely so that business departments can work with them. You will contribute to the conception of KPI systems and data models – without being solely responsible for them – and gradually take over your own topic areas such as data quality, reporting standards, or self-service enablement.
Independent execution of data analyses within existing analytics and BI solutions – from clarifying the question to presenting the results
Translation of business requirements into evaluation logics, key figure definitions, and verifiable hypotheses
Preparation, linking, and plausibility checking of heterogeneous data sets using SQL and analysis languages like Python or R
Conducting exploratory and descriptive analyses, such as pattern recognition, segmentation, cohort and time series analyses, or A/B tests
Implementation and further development of analytical data models within existing data warehouse and lakehouse structures, e.g., based on star schema or dimensional modeling
Development and maintenance of interactive dashboards and reports using common BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or IBM Cognos, including modeling and formula languages like DAX
Contribution to the conception of KPI and key figure systems, as well as reusable semantic and reporting layers
Analysis and optimization of queries, data models, and reporting workloads with a focus on runtime and traceability
Ensuring data quality through validation rules, reconciliation processes, and root cause analyses for anomalies
Implementation of authorization and row-level security concepts, as well as documentation of data models, transformation logic, and business rules
Use of AI-powered tools and generative AI to support analysis, documentation, testing, and quality assurance – including AI assistant functions in BI platforms
Tailored preparation of results for business departments and project stakeholders, including data storytelling
Coordination with data engineering teams on data provision, interfaces, and model adjustments
Participation in change requests, incident handling, and roll-outs of new features in the operation of analytics solutions
Support for business departments in self-service analytics, as well as participation in training sessions and knowledge transfer
Support for junior colleagues in daily operations and participation in reviews
Completed degree in IT, MINT, or business administration (e.g., Business Informatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration) or a comparable qualification
3–5 years of practical experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Reporting
Good to very good SQL skills, as well as experience with analytical data modeling and data warehouse structures
Practical experience with at least one analysis language, ideally Python or R
Solid experience with at least one BI and analytics platform, e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or IBM Cognos, including data modeling
Methodological competence in descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, and common analysis methods, as well as experience working with large datasets
Business understanding of business processes and key performance indicator (KPI) systems
Basic understanding of modern data platforms and data provisioning processes, e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric, as well as ETL/ELT concepts
Experience in data quality, authorization concepts, and documentation of data logic
Proficient use of version control (Git)
Openness to the reflected use of AI-powered tools in the analytics context
Experience with agile working methods (Scrum/Kanban)
Strong communication skills and the ability to convey analytical results understandably
Analytical thinking, structured work approach, and enjoyment of teamwork
German language skills at C1/C2 level
English language skills at B2 level
Residence in Germany, ideally near Ratingen/Frankfurt
Do you know your way around these topics and feel professionally confident, even if you don't have many years of experience yet?
Then apply anyway! We look forward to getting to know you.
Nice to have:
Experience with advanced time series analyses or initial exposure to Data Science and Machine Learning
Relevant certifications in the analytics and cloud environment, e.g., Microsoft PL-300, Tableau or Qlik certifications, or the desire to obtain them
Industry experience in Automotive, Retail, Banking & Insurance, or the Public Sector
Knowledge of working with ERP data, especially SAP data structures
Initial experience with tools from the Modern Data Stack, e.g., dbt or Airflow
Experience with digital performance tracking, product or web analytics
Basic knowledge of CI/CD for analytics artifacts
Interest in sharing your own knowledge in workshops or internal formats
What awaits you:
