You will play a key role at BELKAW

As Data Analyst (m/w/d), you will develop data-based decision-making foundations for our business, customer, and process world. You will create transparency, recognize connections, and lead concrete recommendations that will drive our organization forward.

You will be responsible for building and developing central KPI structures, dashboards, and analyses – and bring your expertise particularly in the development of a geographic information system (e.g., based on QGIS).

You will work closely with departments and management to support them in making data-driven decisions and continuously optimizing our processes.

Your tasks

Data analysis & reporting:

Analysis of complex data from various sources (e.g., CRM, billing systems, operational systems) as well as independent creation and further development of reports, KPIs, and dashboards.

Data integration & quality:

Integration and harmonization of heterogeneous data structures as well as ensuring data quality, plausibility, and traceability.

Geodata & GIS:

Conceptualization and development of a geographic information system (e.g., QGIS), preparation and analysis of geodata, and visualization of spatial relationships to derive concrete measures.

Insights & recommendations:

Independent analysis of data, identification of trends, causes, and optimization potential as well as clear presentation of the results for management and decision-making bodies.

Requirements management:

Translation of technical requirements into structured analyses as well as participation in the further development of data models, reporting structures, and tools (e.g., Qlik, QGIS).

Collaboration & consulting:

Closely working with departments to develop data-based process improvements and supporting them in interpreting and utilizing analysis results.

Projects & special analyses:

Supporting projects and conducting ad-hoc analyses for complex questions.

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, ideally in geographic information science, computer science, economics (focus on data analysis) or business informatics
• Excellent understanding of complex and heterogeneous data landscapes
• Outstanding analytical skills and experience in evaluating large data sets, ideally with reference to the energy industry
• Knowledge of statistics and first experience in deriving decision-relevant insights
• First knowledge of QGIS and interest in developing GIS solutions
• Knowledge of databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, PostGIS)
• Knowledge of Python (e.g. Pandas, GeoPandas)
• Excellent MS-Office skills, including Excel (ideally with Power Query)
• Experience with analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Qlik Sense) is an advantage
• Structured, self-motivated, and solution-oriented working style
• Communication strength and consulting competence in dealing with department heads and management
• Learner's willingness, critical thinking, and a safe handling of complex questions

This task can be performed part-time if the workload allows it.
