Job description
We are Whow Games - and YOU can become one!
We are more than 50 people from different nations. Passionate gamers, experienced game developers and marketing professionals who stand for the planning, development, publication and sale of entertaining products. We love what we do - and that makes us successful!
As a new part of the team in our headquarters in Hamburg, work on the greatest products and gaming experiences every day and grow. Become part of the magnificent team, work with the latest hardware, receive many cooperation benefits and go the Whow way with us.
Turn data into strategies that drive product growth at the interface of analytics engineering and advanced analytics. Influence engagement, retention and monetization results as a trusted partner of the product team and play a key role in scaling features and experiences in new and competitive markets. Optimize priorities in product development and drive the growth of user engagement across all platforms, while building an in-depth understanding of feature performance, engagement patterns and the development of player lifetime value.
Tasks
- Develop and improve measurement frameworks (e.g. feature adoption, engagement scoring, incrementality tests, user health metrics) and apply advanced statistical methods to guide roadmap prioritization, feature mix, and retention strategies.
- Build and maintain scalable dbt data models and Tableau dashboards that enable self-service reporting on product performance (DAU/MAU, feature adoption rates, retention curves, engagement depth, monetization funnels).
- Analyze product performance across platforms and develop predictive engagement models for hybrid monetization (IAP + Ad Revenue). Take responsibility for the optimization of the conversion funnel and monetization event tracking.
- Design and accompany A/B tests for feature launches, UI/UX variants, onboarding flows and monetization mechanics to optimize the entire user journey.
- Conduct user segmentation, behavioral cohort analysis, and user journey mapping to identify potential in engagement, retention, and monetization.
- Work closely with Data and Product Engineering to ensure data quality between product analytics tools, BI stack and backend event systems.
- Communicate insights clearly and convincingly to influence senior leadership and drive data-driven decisions on product roadmap and feature prioritization.
Qualification
Required:
- At least 2 years of experience in Product Analytics and Data Modeling (B2C product experience preferred)
- Very good knowledge of SQL and Python for data manipulation, statistical analysis and predictive modeling (e.g. churn prediction, LTV forecasting)
- Practical experience with dbt and Tableau (or comparable BI tools)
- Expertise in statistical modeling and machine learning (Regression, Bayesian methods, causal inference, experimentation design) with application to product use cases
- In-depth understanding of product metrics frameworks, funnel analysis and A/B testing in digital products and in-app experiences
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that influence senior stakeholders
- Proactive, results-oriented working method with responsibility for analyses from the pipeline to business impact
- Fluent English skills
Preferred:
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Analyst in the B2C or gaming sector
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics or a quantitative subject
- Experience with product analytics tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, Firebase Analytics as well as event tracking architecture
- Experience with feature flagging platforms (LaunchDarkly, Optimizely) and experimentation frameworks
- Experience in a gaming or product company with analytics on a large scale across multiple platforms (Mobile, Web, Console)
- Practical experience with AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, LangChain, n8n)
Benefits
- You will benefit from a professional circle of colleagues with many years of experience in the industry
- A dynamic environment with flat hierarchies and quick decisions with plenty of room for your own ideas
- Flexible working hours and the possibility to work remotely (attendance in the office is expected 2 days a week)
- Regular company events
- Fruit, drinks and food allowances
- Subsidy for the Deutschland-Ticket
- Membership with Wellpass possible
Would you like to go the Whow way with us?
Then we look forward to your application!
