As a Data & AI Consultant, you are the link between strategic vision and hands-on realization, a role we are adding to our team for the first time.

What will you do?

You will work with our clients at the intersection of strategy and technology. You are not a consultant who only analyzes and turns it into slides. You have control from A to Z, from the request for help to implementation. You analyze and translate the wishes of our partners into technically elegant solutions, from platform engineering to MLOps and AI implementation. Subsequently, you will guide the teams at our clients who bring this into production.

• You translate business challenges into concrete data and AI strategies and make this insightful for both C-level and engineering teams.

• You advise on data architectures, platforms, and technology choices (cloud, lakehouse, real-time, batch) and are able to defend this substantively.

• You lead the implementation: you manage data engineers and scientists, monitor quality, and keep the big picture in sight.

• You build a relationship of trust with the client and grow into a permanent sparring partner at executive level.

• You contribute to the substantive knowledge base of BigData Republic through internal knowledge sessions, blog posts, or external presentations.

You have at least 5 years of experience in a data-related role, of which at least 3 years in a consultancy or leadership position.

• You have in-depth knowledge of data architecture principles: data mesh, lakehouse, streaming vs. batch, governance, and data quality.

• You are at home on at least one of the major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and know which managed services are used when.

• You understand how modern AI applications work (LLMs, ML pipelines, MLOps) and know how to bring them into production responsibly.

• You communicate clearly: you make complex technical matter accessible without losing depth.

• You prefer to work hands-on: you don't just think along, but also take initiative yourself when necessary.

• Salary up to €6,700 gross per month (based on 40 hours), depending on knowledge, experience, and seniority

• In addition, you will receive 8% holiday allowance, paid annually in May

• Mobility budget of €825 per month or a lease budget up to €925 per month
