Job responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain dairy milking systems and related equipment
• Monitor livestock health and behaviour to support timely decision-making
• Undertake a range of duties and ensure quality outcomes, particularly in farm machinery operations, or assist with repairs as required
• Keep accurate farm records, including milk production, herd data, and feed levels
• Carry out daily checks on farm machinery and promptly report any faults or irregularities
• Operate machinery and perform adjustments or resizing as needed
• Use computerised systems by selecting menu options
• Work with the standard measurement device
• Understand basic scientific terms and concepts
• Assist with artificial insemination and fertiliser application as needed
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Strictly follow workplace health, safety, and animal welfare standards

What we are looking for

• Relevant qualifications and/or hands-on experience in dairy or livestock farming are highly regarded
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Good time management with attention to detail
• Physically capable of handling the demands of farm work
