Do you want to actively shape Cyber Security? IT with responsibility: As a system-relevant, public-law IT organization, GICT operates central IT infrastructures for municipalities, schools, retirement homes, and other clients. Security, availability, and reliability are of the highest priority. The Municipal Association ICT employs around 36 people.

You want to

• be responsible for technical security controls and detection, prevention, and protection mechanisms
• be the point of contact for security inquiries from clients or for audit topics
• take on tasks such as technical conception, implementation, and further development of security architectures for critical infrastructures, security engineering solutions, and guidelines (e.g., according to OWASP)
• help build the information security management system, such as technical measures (TOM)
• technically further develop SIEM/XDR from a technical perspective and technical security standards and best practices
• lead close collaboration with Security Operations (coordination Governance ↔ Technology) and System Technology and Operations
• support and advise on complex client and internal projects with a security focus
• help create requirement catalogs in the area of security
• implement and monitor governance and IT security policies internally and externally

• Technical security is professionally, consistently, and scalably embedded
• Security Engineering optimally complements Operations
• The organization is long-term prepared for increasing regulatory requirements
• Trends and service-need-oriented client and association requirements
• Clear separation and at the same time efficient integration of Security Ops and Security Engineering

What you bring

• Education in IT, Cyber Security, or Information Security, or a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in Security Operations, Security Engineering, or Information Security
• Knowledge of SIEM, XDR, Vulnerability Management, and Incident Response
• Understanding of standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or the ICT Minimal Standard
• Analytical, independent, and responsible working style, as well as enjoyment of collaboration
• Very good German and good English skills
• You are a doer and want to drive development and advance Cyber Security
