Job description

We have an exciting role for a Customs Specialist.

The role is based at our Customs branch in Durban Seafreight

Education

Knowledge and experience

10 years import/customs experience in the Clearing and Forwarding Industry of which at least 5 years were in a customs framing entry capacity
Must be well versed with Refund/Drawback procedures and all adjustments
Must understand acquittal process
Commercial, transport, carrier & depot and statutory body documents & stamps
Basic international trade principles. Applicable knowledge of Customs and Excise Act
Geography
Functional business objectives and strategies
Knowledge of INCO Terms Carrier & depot conditions of trade
Principles of Duty calculation
Knowledge of tariffing
National currencies and international codes
Computer literacy
Good communication skills (Verbal &Written)
Situation analysis and problem solving. Good Interpersonal skills
Client orientation. Accuracy and Methodical
Handle pressure and attention to detail
