Customs and Compliance Sr. Supervisor

About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled USMCA Compliance Sr. Supervisor to lead compliance operations at our Rx lens manufacturing facility in Mexico. This position ensures full, audit-ready compliance with the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) for the production and export of multi-origin spectacle lenses. Key Responsibilities Ensure lens products meet USMCA tariff shift criteria (General Note 11, Annex 401). Maintain traceability of all materials from receipt to export using the appropriate software and processes. Conduct regular audits of materials and processes to ensure compliance. Collaborate with sourcing, production, and warehouse teams to provide training and guidance. Manage and maintain all necessary USMCA documentation, including Certificates of Origin. Prepare and submit USMCA related reports to internal and external stakeholders. Stay up-to-date on all USMCA regulations and communicate changes to relevant teams. Supervise a team of customs and compliance specialists. Ensure that all Customs transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Handle any import or export related issues or queries. Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., International Trade, Supply Chain Management). Minimum of 5 years of experience in customs compliance, preferably in a manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge of USMCA regulations and tariff classifications. Experience with material traceability systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Fluency in English and Spanish is required. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Experience with ERP systems. Supervisory experience.
