Position: Caregiver for a person with ALS and high dependency
Location: Valencia
Type of position: Home care
Start Date: Immediate
Job Description
We are looking for a caregiver with experience in attending to people with high dependency, preferably with previous experience with people with ALS, to join a team of caregivers responsible for ensuring comprehensive, safe, and quality care at home. The selected person must be responsible, patient, empathetic, and have the ability to work in coordination with the rest of the care team.
Main Functions
* Care and companionship during daily living activities.
* Assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobilization.
* Positional changes and prevention of pressure ulcers.
* Feeding, including preparation and administration of pureed/blended food according to established guidelines.
* Support with transfers and mobility.
* Continuous monitoring of the person's general condition.
* Management and care of technical aids used at home.
* Maintain correct hygiene and organization of the environment.
* Communication of any relevant changes or incidents.
* Compliance with established routines and guidelines.
* Coordination with other caregivers to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements
* Experience with ALS, neuromuscular diseases, or people with extreme dependency will be especially valued.
* Ability to perform mobilizations and transfers.
* Responsible, patient, and committed individual.
* Ability to work in a team and respect established guidelines.
* Availability to work in shifts.
* Training related to socio-health care, nursing assistant, personal assistance, or care for dependent individuals.
