Our client is an established, technology-leading automation company with a strong market position in the Steuerungs- und Antriebstechnik. The company stands today at a decisive turning point.

The shift from classical Product Provider to an integrated Solutions and System Partner for its customers is strategically initiated – and will now be consistently implemented.

We are looking for an entrepreneurially thinking technology personality, who recognizes market trends, translates innovations into value creation, and positions technology as a strategic growth driver.

Aufgaben

As CTO, you will take over the overall responsibility for Technology, Development, and Innovation Management. You shape actively the technological future of the company and drive the transformation to customer-oriented, scalable, and digitally supported solutions.

You connect strategic foresight with operational excellence – and bridge the gap between market, technology, and organization.

Strategic Technology & Innovation Leadership

• Development and implementation of a clear Technology and Innovation Strategy in line with the company's strategy
• Early recognition of relevant portfolio and technology trends (e.g. Hardware, Antriebstechnik, Steuerungen, Systemlösungen, Software-Integration, Digitalisierung, Industrial IoT, Energy Efficiency)
• Active shaping of the transformation from a Component and Product Provider to a Solutions Provider

Portfolio & Product Development

• Further development of the product and solution portfolio towards customer-oriented comprehensive systems
• Tight connection between Hardware, Software, and Services
• Responsibility for Roadmaps, platform strategies, and modularization

Organization & Leadership

• Leadership and further development of the Development and Technology departments
• BUILDING an innovative, agile, and interdisciplinary development culture
• Fostering entrepreneurial thinking in teams

Schnittstellen & Market

• Tight cooperation with Geschäftsführung, Vertrieb, Produktmanagement, R&D, and Key Accounts
• Technological sparring partner for customers, partners, and strategic alliances
• Representation of the company in technology and innovation networks

Qualifikation

Fachlich

• Degree in a technical field (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Mechatronics, Computer Science or equivalent)
• Long-term leadership experience in a technological key role (CTO, Development Manager, Head of R&D etc.)
• Deep understanding of Steuerungs- und Antriebstechnik, ideally supplemented by software, system, or platform competence
• Experience in developing complex technical solutions and systems
• Demonstrated success in Innovation and Transformation Projects
