CTO in the Field of Electronics and Product Design for Embedded Monitoring and Automation Systems

HOREICH is a young company from Erlangen, developing, producing, and selling systems for sensor-based monitoring of environment, infrastructure, and machines. The applications range from water treatment plant monitoring to long-term monitoring of highway bridges.

Our product portfolio consists of measurement and data transmission units with various sensors connected. We also have a web platform where our customers can view and evaluate the collected data in an overview.

Tasks

• Development of electronic circuits for embedded wireless systems, including low-power systems that operate for years on battery power
• Led tasks during product development processes: design of products, design of electronic circuits, programming of firmware, testing and ensuring quality, considering manufacturing-ready and HF-ready design
• Skillful handling of prototype production: SMD components, soldering, and functional patterns for evaluation belong to the task field
• Programming of complex applications for embedded systems based on C/C++ (including network stacks, MQTT, HTTP, web server, low-level drivers, etc.)
• Gathering and sorting customer requirements, writing specifications and design for development service offers
• Direct exchange with customers to define requirements, improve products, explain technical connections

Qualification

• You possess experience in the field of electronics development with a strong focus on product development and product integration (ECAD design with KiCad and MCAD design, co-design etc.)
• Electronics and firmware development are not separate domains for you; you are familiar with tool chains for embedded systems and can program them
• You bring especially experience in the field of development with Cortex-M microprocessors (especially from ST Microelectronics)
• You have good knowledge and market overview in the field of electronic components and their function, as well as integration into functioning circuits for specific purposes (e.g. analog circuits, digital ICs)
• You possess the willingness to look beyond the horizon and learn new things
• You bring yourself successfully into a small team with exciting projects and if it's really necessary, you are flexible
• You possess good German and English skills
