Job description

A fantastic chance is available for a passionate and suitably skilled applicant to join the perioperative leadership team as a CSSD Manager at a private hospital in Sydney. It is a permanent full-time position.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES As CSSD Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Attending to the operational management of the current CSSD Department within the Perioperative Services area;
  • Acting as an advocate for our Quality Management System and promoting a safe work environment;
  • Supporting your team to achieve a streamlined operational management;
  • Meeting relevant standards and best practices consistent with the CSSD specialty area.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Current Registration with AHPRA;
  • Minimum 4 - 5 years' experience working in a senior role within a CSSD environment;
  • Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation held from an accredited provider;
  • Australian Work Rights;
  • Sound knowledge of accreditation standards ACHS/AS/NZ 4187 Standards and HICMR;
  • Demonstrated ability to show leadership and the ability to work with a wide range of people in a team environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail;
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS Office and various databases;
  • An interest in promoting best practice patient care;
  • A focus on professional development.

ABOUT THE FACILITY Situated in Southern Sydney, the hospital boasts 168 overnight beds. It is renowned for its expertise in cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, endovascular surgery, interventional neuroradiology, general surgery, general medicine, liver surgery, orthopedics, maternity, and pediatrics. The facility additionally features a dedicated Day Surgery unit, a Coronary Care Unit, and an Intensive Care Unit.
