☀️ ROOFER / HAMMER HAND WANTED – CROMWELL ☀️ FULL-TIME HOURS | GREAT CREW | TOP PAY FOR TOP SKILLS
Alright team — here’s the situation. The boss man has officially lost the plot. He’s been waiting so long for a decent roofer that he’s starting to think about climbing up there himself, and honestly… if that happens, ACC might as well pre-fill the paperwork.
So before he turns the workshop into a personal DIY disaster zone, we’re hunting down a Roofer or Hammer Hand who knows their way around a roof and knows the difference between a flashing and a decorative bit of tinfoil.
This isn’t just another labouring gig — we want someone who can jump in, get stuck into the mahi, and fit into a crew that runs on hard work, good banter, and the occasional argument with a tape measure.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Installing flashings, roofing iron, underlay and all the bits that stop houses turning into swimming pools.
- Working on new builds, repairs, and the odd “mate-can-you-fix-this” roof rescue mission.
- Using roofing tools confidently (bonus if you don’t have to Google how to use them).
- Climbing ladders, walking roofs, and pretending you’re not terrified of heights.
- Working alongside a solid team that gets the job done while keeping the humour flowing.
- Experience in roofing or hammer handing — we don’t need you to be a wizard, just competent and not dangerous.
- A basic understanding of roofing materials, tools, measurements, and not leaving gaps big enough for a possum to move in.
- Reliability. Show up. Rain, shine, tired, hungry — just turn up.
- A willingness to learn and take direction (because the boss already has enough grey hairs).
- Good attitude + good banter. If you can’t dish it out AND take it, this crew will eat you alive.
- Physical fitness — roofing isn’t for the faint-hearted.
- A commitment to safety… even if you still hate wearing a harness.
- Good coin that reflects your skill level — turn up and work hard, and payday will feel beautiful.
- A team that makes work feel like hanging out with mates (productive ones).
