CRO Manager - E-Commerce (m/f/d) Full-time

Full Time Lead

Job description

πŸš€ Globalist is THE leading performance marketing agency for national and international digital marketing strategies, made in Stuttgart!

Our agency is divided into Paid Search, Paid Social, and Organic Search, and already serves over 370 clients. We manage an annual advertising budget of €60 million and combine strategy with operational scaling expertise. Thanks to direct Google and Meta training, we focus on modern, data-driven performance optimization.

Our clients include Boehringer Ingelheim, La Marzocco, NΓΈ Cosmetics, ASAM BEAUTY, and many more!

What sets us apart: Our heart beats for eCommerce. We don't just serve top brands; we also operate our own eCommerce shops. This means you can develop beyond pure design in areas such as user research, data-driven optimization, and Shopify ecosystems, and measure the results of your work directly in real sales figures.

Responsibilities

As a CRO Manager at Globalist, you will optimize e-commerce shops to turn visitors into buyers – data-based, hypothesis-driven, and with a direct impact on our clients' revenue. You are the interface between data, design, and development, managing CRO projects from analysis to implementation.

Here's what awaits you:

  • You will analyze conversion funnels, user behavior, and shop performance of our e-commerce clients using GA4, heatmap tools, and session recordings – and derive concrete optimization hypotheses from them.
  • You will conceptualize A/B tests and personalization measures, prioritize them by uplift potential, and oversee the entire testing process up to statistically valid evaluation.
  • You will manage stakeholder relations with our clients: You will present test results, explain complex CRO relationships understandably, and derive clear action recommendations.
  • You will create wireframes and clickable prototypes in Figma to make optimization ideas quickly tangible – for clients, developers, and internal teams.
  • You will work closely with web developers and possess fundamental technical understanding (HTML/CSS, JavaScript basics) to support and review implementations.
  • You will work cross-functionally with our SEA, Paid Social, and SEO teams to identify and leverage cross-channel optimization potentials together.

Qualifications

What you bring (Must-haves):

  • 2-3 years of professional experience in CRO, E-Commerce, or UX – ideally in an agency or an e-commerce company
  • Proven experience in E-Commerce: You are familiar with typical funnel structures, know where shops lose customers, and what the conversion drivers are in online retail
  • Confident stakeholder management: You can clearly communicate and persuasively represent test results and optimization strategies to clients
  • Proficient in Figma – you can translate hypotheses into wireframes and prototypes without having to wait for developers
  • Fundamental technical understanding (HTML/CSS, JavaScript basics) to communicate with developers on an equal footing and review implementations
  • Experience with A/B testing tools (e.g., VWO, Optimizely, AB Tasty) and Google Analytics / GA4
  • Fluent German language skills (C1) for direct client consultation

This would be the cherry on top (Nice-to-haves):

  • Experience with heatmap and session recording tools like Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity
  • Knowledge of Shopify, Shopware, or other e-commerce systems
  • Interest in AI-powered optimization and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)

Benefits

At Globalist, you will work in a cross-functional team that not only thinks about performance for clients but also lives it themselves. CRO is not a silo here – you will work daily with SEA, SEO, and Paid Social experts and benefit from a broad knowledge pool. Learnings are shared openly, and test results are celebrated together. Our own e-commerce brands in the fashion and outdoor sectors serve as your playground: test new hypotheses before they are scaled to client projects.

Your daily work life:

  • Flexible working hours πŸ•—
  • Modern office directly in Stuttgart's city center with a rooftop terrace β˜€οΈ
  • Height-adjustable desks and your own MacBook for permanent employees πŸ’»

Your development:

  • Regular training opportunities and long-term career prospects πŸŽ“
  • Insights beyond CRO – Supply Chain, Product Development, Shop Systems, and Paid Marketing
  • Regular feedback meetings so you can reach your full potential

Your extras:

  • Free DB Deutschlandticket or parking space in the city center πŸš—
  • E-Gym Wellpass for your fitness and health πŸ‹πŸ½
  • Free drinks and coffee in the office πŸ₯€
  • Regular company events and team events 🍾

Self-evident for us:

  • Great team spirit and appreciative atmosphere 😊
  • Flat hierarchies and short decision-making processes
  • Structured onboarding from day 1 πŸ‘‹

Sounds like you? Then we look forward to receiving your application – preferably with concrete examples or cases that show how you have measurably improved conversion rates in e-commerce.
