Corporate & Commercial Lawyer We are assisting a long-established Auckland law firm in their search for a capable Corporate & Commercial Lawyer. This is a rare opportunity to join a firm large enough to handle significant matters but small enough for you to have visibility, autonomy, and a clear path forward. This position would suit a lawyer with 3 years PQE who is looking to elevate their corporate and commercial practice while working alongside a team known for their client-focused approach and commitment to delivering exceptional results. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and ambitious individual with strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for building long-term relationships with clients. Responsibilities: • Provide high-quality legal advice to corporate and commercial clients on a wide range of matters including company law, contracts, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance; • Conduct due diligence investigations and prepare reports on companies, assets, and transactions; • Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including joint venture agreements, shareholder agreements, and supply agreements; • Represent clients in negotiations with other parties, including shareholders, directors, and third-party stakeholders; • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their ongoing needs are met and their expectations exceeded; • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver exceptional results for clients; Requirements: • 3 years post-qualification experience (PQE) as a lawyer in New Zealand or Australia; • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized institution; • Current admission to the New Zealand Law Society or Australian Legal Profession Uniform Law Act; • Strong understanding of corporate and commercial law, including company law, contracts, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance; • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines; • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion; What We Offer: • Competitive salary and benefits package; • Opportunity to work on high-profile matters and develop your expertise in corporate and commercial law; • Collaborative and supportive team environment; • Professional development opportunities, including training and mentorship programs; • Flexible working arrangements, including remote work options; How to Apply: If you are a motivated and ambitious lawyer looking for a new challenge, please submit your application, including your CV and cover letter, to [insert contact details].
