Corporate Finance Manager

Our client is a major player in Australia’s infrastructure and engineering sector, known for delivering complex projects that shape communities across the country. This role is based in their Melbourne CBD corporate office and forms a key part of their national finance team.
We’re seeking a highly experienced Corporate Finance Manager to oversee financial performance, cost control, budgeting, forecasting and reporting for several high-value corporate business units.
This position requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to collaborate across finance, operational, and executive teams. You will play a strategic role in strengthening financial governance and supporting continuous improvement across the corporate finance function.
• Lead monthly reporting, forecasting, and annual budget cycles across multiple cost centres
• Manage corporate charges and recoveries, including payroll allocations, utilisation reporting, internal interest and bank guarantee charges
• Oversee treasury-related processes including payments, banking platform maintenance, account management and issue resolution
• Ensure accurate recording, reconciliation and reporting of prepayments
• Drive business improvement initiatives and support strategic projects
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Provide leadership and guidance to finance personnel, fostering a culture of collaboration and performance excellence
Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Business or related field
• CA or CPA qualification
• 10–15 years’ experience in senior-level corporate finance roles
• Strong leadership capability with stakeholder management experience
• Experience within construction, engineering, industrial or complex corporate environments
• Strong understanding of Workday Financial Management or Adaptive Planning (preferred)
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills
