Senior Coordinator & Manager Transport

We are looking for a Senior Coordinator & Manager Transport, responsible for managing the entire transportation process within the company: 2 own trucks, fleet of utility vehicles, fleet of used vehicles for agents and management.

The role combines daily operational coordination with managerial responsibility over costs, procedures, and fleet discipline. We are not a transportation company – we're looking for a professional who knows how to optimize, control, and deliver results, not volumes.

Responsibilities

Operational Coordination:

• Planning and coordinating internal and external routes (trucks and vehicles).
• Organizing deliveries to clients, warehouses, and partners.
• Direct communication with drivers and vehicle users.
• Monitoring deliveries and managing unexpected situations.
• Verifying transportation documents and respecting internal procedures.
• Publishing, verifying, and validating route sheets for our own fleet.
• Verifying and approving fuel expense reports for drivers.
• Correlating route sheets with fuel consumption and actual routes.
• Ensuring compliance with internal procedures regarding transportation documents and vehicle usage.

Fleet Management:

• Complete management of the auto fleet (ITP, RCA, CASCO, rovinietă, revizii).
• Scheduling maintenance and repairs.
• Monitoring fuel consumption and correct vehicle usage.
• Managing damages, incidents, and relationships with service providers and insurers.

Management & Optimization:

• Controlling and optimizing transportation costs and fleet.
• Analyzing routes, delivery frequencies, and vehicle usage levels.
• Coordinating externalized transports when necessary.
• Implementing and respecting internal transportation procedures.
• Monthly reporting to management (costs, efficiency, risks, proposals).
• Weekly reporting to management regarding transportation activity: completed routes, costs, fuel consumption, incidents, deviations, and optimization proposals.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience relevant in transportation, logistics, or fleet management.
• Demonstrated experience in operational coordination and cost control.
• Solid organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
• Firm communication, result-oriented, and responsible attitude.
• Good knowledge of PC operation (Excel, reports, records).
• Category B permit (Category C is an advantage).
• Autoritatea Rutiera Romana Transport Manager Certificate
