Our mission: Together with the universities, we shape the future of university IT. To achieve this, we develop scalable services from the areas of Cloud, Cyber Security, Software and IT Procurement across the state. We ensure modern, secure and efficient solutions – so that universities can focus on teaching, art and science, and sensitive data is protected to the best possible extent.

You shape a newly founded company actively with: Architectures decide, standards set, automation drives forward – and create genuine added value. And we're looking forward to you becoming part of it soon.

What awaits you

  • Your focus lies in coordinating interdisciplinary response teams and conducting post-incident reviews as well as deriving lessons learned
  • You will also take care of the strategic development of use cases and correlation rules in SIEM, EDR & NDR systems and evaluate alerts on criticality and relevance for the university field

  • In the course of ongoing operations, you identify automation potential in collaboration with engineering teams to introduce new tools
  • You present important information regularly to various stakeholders and are the main point of contact for IT departments, data protection officers and information security representatives at universities

What you bring

  • Multiple years of professional experience in SOC, CERT or IT security incident response
  • Certifications such as GCIA, GCIH, CISSP, CISM or comparable are advantageous
  • Fundamental knowledge of current attack techniques (MITRE ATT&CK), logging architectures and network protocols
  • Excellent communication and moderation skills, analytical thinking, hands-on mentality and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Very good German and English language skills in writing and speaking
