Senior Industrial Safety and Health Coordinator

Location: Oriental, Puebla

Staff supervised: 2 safety leaders

Direct Report: Safety and Health Management

Modality: On-site

Availability: base hours and in some situations shift rotation and emergency response outside of hours when the operation requires it.

Position Objective

Coordinate the comprehensive strategy for Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, Process Safety Management (PSM), Fire Protection, Emergency Preparedness and Response, and Critical Risk Management of the Processing Plant, ensuring the protection of people, operational continuity, asset preservation, and legal, regulatory, and corporate compliance.

Ensure that operations, maintenance activities, CAPEX projects, contractor work, and specialized services are executed under controlled risk conditions, strengthening a preventive culture focused on results and continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead the Safety and Industrial Hygiene strategy of the Processing Plant.
• Administer Industrial Safety, PSM, Fire Protection, Ergonomics, and Occupational Health programs.
• Manage critical risks, contractors, and high-risk work.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Ensure legal, regulatory, and corporate compliance in Safety and Health matters.
• Coordinate brigades, drills, and emergency response programs.
• Lead improvement projects focused on risk reduction and incident prevention.
• Develop and strengthen the safety culture throughout the operation.

• TRIR.
• Frequency and severity of accidents.
• Lost days.
• Occupational illnesses.
• Near Misses.
• Audit compliance.

• Closure of corrective actions.

Required Profile

Education

Mandatory:

• Completed Bachelor's Degree or Engineering Degree.

Desirable:

• Specialization or Master's Degree in a related field.

Minimum 5 years of indispensable experience in:

• Industrial Safety and Occupational Health.
• Coordinating personnel, programs, and safety activities.
• Experience in food processing plants, meat industry, agribusiness, or manufacturing.
• Regulatory and corporate audits.
• Accident and incident investigation.
• Risk assessment and management.
• Contractor administration.
• High-risk work.
• ISO 45001 Management Systems.
• Process Safety Management (PSM).
