Building Maintenance Coordinator

Juarez Plant, Chihuahua, Mexico

At TekniPlex Healthcare, we are looking for a Building Maintenance Coordinator, a strategic position responsible for ensuring the functionality, safety, and preservation of the building's facilities, equipment, and systems. This role will lead the Building Maintenance Technicians team, manage resources, coordinate vendors, and develop continuous improvement projects to ensure operational continuity, facility safety, and achievement of departmental objectives.

Required Profile

General Job Description

Ensure the functionality, safety, and preservation of the plant infrastructure through the planning, coordination, and supervision of preventive and corrective maintenance activities, leading the technical team and managing the necessary resources to comply with standards of safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Education

• Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related degree.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar positions.
• Experience leading maintenance teams with direct reports.
• Experience in building and infrastructure maintenance within industrial or manufacturing environments.

Specific Knowledge, Training, and Skills

1. Low and medium voltage electrical systems.
2. HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning).
3. Pneumatics and operation of reciprocating and screw compressors.
4. Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems and civil infrastructure.
5. Welding processes (stick, MIG, and TIG).
6. Project administration and continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen, PDCA, 8D, or similar).
7. Knowledge of Official Mexican Standards (NOM) related to infrastructure, buildings, and Civil Protection.
8. Leadership, organization, planning, and resource management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and supervise the preventive and corrective maintenance of building facilities, HVAC systems, and common areas.
2. Coordinate the activities of the Building Maintenance Technicians team, promoting a safe and high-performance work environment.
3. Oversee electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, civil infrastructure, and other building services.
4. Manage vendors and external contractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards, quality, and established contracts.
5. Manage budgets, spare parts inventory, tools, and records of preventive and corrective maintenance.
6. Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, Civil Protection, and Official Mexican Standards.
7. Develop continuous improvement projects focused on resource optimization, cost reduction, and energy savings.
8. Track compliance with departmental indicators, including preventive maintenance, availability of production areas, safety, and cost control.
