PURCHASING COORDINATOR

Position Objective:

To guarantee the timely and efficient sourcing of food inputs, balancing supply with projected demand, minimizing waste, and optimizing logistics and storage costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchasing Management: Negotiate with suppliers in the food sector (prices, delivery times, payment terms, and freshness/quality).
• Demand Planning: Analyze sales history, trends, and forecasts to ensure optimal inventory levels without generating extra costs.
• Supplier Development: Evaluate, develop, and maintain strategic relationships with the current supplier portfolio and seek new alternatives.
• Logistics Synergy: Coordinate closely with the transport, warehouse, and traffic departments to ensure delivery times meet cold chain and perishable goods standards.
• KPI Monitoring: Control indicators such as service level, inventory turnover, purchasing savings, and cost variations.

Requirements:

• Education: Completed Bachelor's degree in Administration, Industrial Engineering, International Trade, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in purchasing positions, indispensable within the food sector (perishables, dry goods, or frozen goods).
• Technical Knowledge: Solid mastery of Demand Planning methodologies (Forecasting, stock control, turnover).
• Tools: Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, complex formulas) and desirable experience with ERP systems.
• Competencies: Strong negotiation skills, analytical vision, proactivity, sense of urgency, and teamwork.
• Language: Intermediate English
