Job Description:

Shiraz Persian Restaurant + Bar is looking for a dedicated Full-Time Cook to join our professional kitchen team. We specialise in authentic Persian and Middle Eastern cuisine and require a skilled cook who can maintain consistent quality and support daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and present meals according to restaurant standards.
• Ensure consistent taste, portioning, and presentation across all dishes.
• Operate commercial kitchen equipment and monitor cooking temperatures.
• Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS regulations.
• Assist with menu preparation, ingredients prep, and daily food service.
• Manage stock rotation, monitor inventory, and report shortages.
• Keep kitchen and workstations clean and well-organised at all times.
• Support smooth kitchen service during peak hours.
• Minimise food wastage and follow proper storage procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with chefs and junior kitchen staff.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of proven experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
• Strong understanding of food safety (FSS) and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to follow recipes, maintain consistency, and manage multiple tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to long-term employment.
• Experience in Middle Eastern or similar cuisine is an advantage but not mandatory.
