Nel Restaurant is looking for a talented and experienced Cook to join its highly regarded kitchen team in Sydney. Renowned for its innovative and creative approach to modern cuisine, Nel Restaurant offers a unique dining experience featuring carefully curated tasting menus and exceptional presentation.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s menu and standards.
Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented to a consistently high standard.
Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards in line with regulatory requirements.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory management.
Ensure proper storage, rotation, and handling of food products to minimise wastage.
Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas and equipment.
Assist in managing portion control and maintaining food cost targets.

About You

Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
Previous experience working as a Chef in a professional kitchen environment.
Strong passion for modern cuisine and high-quality food presentation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills.
