Leaf & Latte Cafe is a friendly, independent café in Orpington serving quality coffee, homemade breakfasts, lunches, cakes, and Sunday roasts. We’ve been open since January and are growing fast — now we’re looking for a Chef / Cook to join our small, welcoming team.

Location: Orpington, London

Type: Full-time (weekends included)

Start: Immediate

About the Role

We’re not looking for a Michelin-star chef — just someone who loves cooking good food, works cleanly and efficiently, and takes pride in what they serve. You’ll be preparing and cooking our existing menu (breakfasts, brunch, lunch dishes, Sunday roasts, and occasional specials), keeping the kitchen running smoothly, and helping us build a great local reputation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Cooking and prepping menu items to a high standard

• Helping plan simple specials or roasts for weekends

• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen

• Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met

• Working closely with the café team to deliver great service

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a café, pub, or similar kitchen

• Confident cooking breakfasts and lunch dishes

• Capable of preparing and cooking food orders simultaneously

• Friendly and reliable

• Able to work weekends (especially Sundays for roasts!)

• Food hygiene knowledge preferred (Level 2 certificate a plus)
