Job description

Our client 'Harrington Hotel' is searching for an experienced and skillful Cook for their busy kitchen in Harrington, NSW. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef to join its vibrant team.

Applicants must have a strong experience in busy kitchens, be capable with fast paced, high volume service, take pride in food presentation and be effective in a busy team environment.

Key tasks are:

Assist in resolving day-to-day kitchen issues efficiently and report any major concerns to the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
Support senior kitchen staff and work collaboratively with team members during service.
Assist with preparation and cooking of menu items as directed.
Help maintain stock levels and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishing.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations at all times.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude with colleagues and customers.
Work efficiently within your allocated section to deliver a consistent standard of food during service.
Take pride in food presentation, ensuring all dishes meet quality and portion standards.
Demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Be reliable, punctual, and capable of working in a fast-paced kitchen.

Requirements:

Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Food Hygiene compliance, knowledge and practices
Availability for rotating roster across Mon to Sun.
Job will require approx. 38 hrs per week.
At least one years' relevant experience
relevant cookery qualifications or can be substituted with more than 3 years work experience

Permanent Full Time role with $75K - $80K (plus super)
