GSN Family Investment Pty Ltd. T/A 107 Coffee Terminal & Tex-Mex Bar Jimboomba is seeking an experienced and passionate full-time Cook to join our team. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality dishes and exceptional dining experiences through consistency, innovation, and excellence in food preparation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The appointed Cook will be responsible for a wide range of kitchen operations. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing and cooking dishes as per the menu and meeting any special dietary requirements.
• Examining and ensuring the quality of raw food items to maintain consistency in cooked meals.
• Seasoning, portioning, and plating food while adding gravies, sauces, and garnishes according to restaurant standards.
• Mise-en-place preparation for daily menus.
• Regulating temperatures of stoves, ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment.
• Maintaining hygiene and food safety standards, including HACCP record-keeping (cooking, cooling, storage, and defrosting records).
• Storing raw and cooked foods separately in temperature-controlled facilities to prevent cross-contamination.
• Storing meat and other supplies at industry-standard refrigeration and freezer temperatures.
• Safely handling, sharpening, and maintaining knives and kitchen equipment.
• Cleaning workstations and equipment after preparation and ensuring readiness for the next use.
• Assisting in planning menus and estimating food requirements.
• Assisting in managing stock inventory and ordering high-quality raw materials.
• Training and supervising kitchen staff and apprentices to ensure consistency in cooking methods.

Personal & Professional Attributes

• Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and OH&S regulations.
• Enthusiastic and motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Friendly, approachable, and positive attitude.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 per annum + superannuation.
