Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Indian dishes, ensuring that they are of high quality and consistent with our restaurant's standards.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori dishes, and vegetarian options

- Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to our restaurant's standards and recipes

- Monitor and maintain stock levels of ingredients and supplies

- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures at all times

- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new and innovative dishes

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times

- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff

- Adhere to all food and hygiene regulations and standards

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Cook in a similar role, preferably in an Indian restaurant

- Knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks

- Excellent time management and organisational skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Certificate III in commercial cookery or above

- Food safety and hygiene certification

- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

Contract Details:

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $74,000 to $78,000, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a positive and supportive work environment and opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
