Controller:in Direct Sales (m/f/d)

We were founded in 2017 in Germany and are today a global fitness movement with events on five continents, where tens of thousands of athletes participate each season.

As our Controller:in Direct Sales (d/w/m), you will be the compass for our Retail- and Merchandise-Team. You don't just report what happened - you explain why it happened and what we should do next.

By combining data from events, e-commerce, and other channels, you deliver the necessary insights to optimize our inventory levels, prices, and product range. You bridge the gap between Finance/Controlling and our Direct-Sales-Team and ensure that our growth is based on solid numbers.

YOUR TASKS

Data Analysis & Optimization

• Data Source: You consolidate, clean, and analyze sales data across all channels (Event-Retail, Online-Shop, Partner).
• Trends Recognition: You identify sales trends and opportunities to optimize the product range, pricing strategy, and reordering.
• Performance: You evaluate how our products perform in different markets and on various platforms to understand regional preferences.

Planning & Forecasting

• Forecast: You provide data-based insights for order planning, demand forecasting, and annual budgeting.
• Inventories Logistics: You help balance inventory levels so that products are always available but the risk of overstocking is minimized.

Reporting & Visualization

• Dashboards: You create and maintain informative reports with tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker for stakeholders and management.
• Data Quality: You ensure high data quality and accuracy across all reporting tools.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

• The Interface: You work closely with IT and Operations to improve data flows and system integrations.
• Finance Alignment: You align with Finance, Controlling, and Accounting teams on accounting processes and inventory reconciliation.

Your Profile

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Controlling, Economics or a similar field.
• Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in data analysis or business analysis, preferably in the retail, sports, or consumer goods (FMCG) sectors.
• Tech-Stack: You are proficient in Excel. You have good knowledge of visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio). Experience with SQL and/or Python is a big plus.
• Retail Know-how: You understand key sales metrics (Sell-through, Conversion), margins, and inventory KPIs.
• Communication: You can translate complex data into clear, understandable recommendations for colleagues who are not tech experts.
• Languages: You speak English at a C-level.
• Passion: You love fitness and sports and make decisions based on facts.
