Controller - Performance, Analytics & BI (m/f/d)

You will develop our controlling function to the next level together with management – with clear key figures, intelligent reports, and steering that provides the right impulses early on.

• You will develop our firm's controlling and a meaningful KPI and reporting system for management, partners, departments, and locations.
• You will establish plan-actual comparisons and an automated early warning system that makes cost and budget overruns on mandates visible early on.
• You will analyze profitability, contribution margins, productivity, utilization, WIP, and working capital, and derive concrete steering impulses from this.
• You will ensure the necessary data quality – from planned revenues and planned hours to master data and complete time tracking.
• You will further develop our order, capacity, personnel, and results planning and create the necessary data models and tools for this.
• You will conduct monthly reporting and steering meetings with our partners, follow up on measures, and ensure that figures lead to concrete decisions.
• You will consistently utilize our existing controlling software and supplement it where sensible with your own solutions in Power BI.
• You will develop partner-specific Power BI dashboards and automated reports, working with data from our controlling software, DATEV, our HRIS, and other systems.

• You have several years of in-depth professional experience in controlling and ideally have already built or significantly further developed a controlling or reporting function.
• You master Power BI at a level where you can independently build data models, dashboards, and authorization concepts.
• You are extremely data and number-savvy and are comfortable working with Excel, raw data, data models, and complex analytical logic.
• You understand controlling as active corporate steering and can translate numbers understandably, critically question them, and identify concrete needs for action.
• You have the standing to conduct steering and planning meetings with partners and management on an equal footing and to consistently follow up on topics.
• You work very independently, structured, and solution-oriented and do not require micromanagement.
• Data quality and clean processes are not a side issue for you, but a prerequisite for good controlling.
• Experience in professional services, consulting, or firm environments, as well as with DATEV or firm controlling software, is a plus, but not a must. It is more important to us that you quickly familiarize yourself with new systems and data structures, recognize connections, and consistently use existing tools for better steering.
